The camp has served Wyoming’s young people since 1943, and was given to the Diocese as a gift by Hank Raymond.
Since 1943 the camp has expanded in land base as well as in program. The camp has over 321 acres of land bordering the Medicine Bow National forest, and last year served over 1100 of Wyoming’s youth. The activities include prayer, worship, music, art, hiking, rock climbing, environment discovery, horseback riding, and mountain bike riding. The camp continues to open to anyone, and will help young people attend, who might not be able to afford the camp, through the Hank Raymond memorial scholarship.
Churches, youth serving organizations, or other groups can use the camp upon request.
HR Camp is a Wind and Wings Outdoor Ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming.
